University of Cambridge and Ansible Motion collaborate on driver behavior research project

Ansible Motion, manufacturer of driver-in-the-loop (DIL) simulators, and the University of Cambridge’s Engineering Department (CUED) are working together in support of a PhD study into human driver behavior, funded by Toyota Motor Europe.

The industry-academia partnership has set out to compare novice and expert drivers’ steering behavior during extreme vehicle maneuvers, in order to reveal distinct learning patterns and control styles.

The simulator

The Delta S3 DIL simulator that will be used in the study features a patented six-degree-of-freedom Stratiform motion system and wrap-around projection graphics, which creates an immersive environment for collecting precise data on driver responses.

Anritsu signs agreement to acquire Dewetron


Anritsu signs agreement to acquire Dewetron

Anritsu’s board of directors has announced it approved the acquisition of 100% of the shares in Dewetron, an Austrian provider of power measurement and data collection instruments, on April 25, 2025. The share transfer agreement was signed with the shareholder TKH Group on April 26. Completion of the transaction remains subject to standard regulatory approvals and general closing conditions.

Dewetron specializes in high-speed power measurement and data-collection instruments that analyze various physical quantities, and which combine test instruments with software.

Kistler and Keller Pressure strengthen partnership for growth in China

Kistler Group, a dynamic measurement technology company, and Keller Pressure, a manufacturer of piezoresistive pressure sensors, have signed an additional agreement affirming their intention to expand their strategic partnership, strengthen synergies and adopt a targeted approach to the ongoing development of the Chinese market. The signing adds to the partnership that has been in place since 2008.

Despite Chinese demand for intelligent manufacturing, automation and precise and reliable measurement solutions, access to the Chinese market is complex.

McLaren explores the extreme demands of vehicle body testing

McLaren has released a Behind the Badge video series, exploring the stories behind the creation of its cars.

The first episode of Behind the Badge shines a spotlight on the world of vehicle body testing. McLaren engineers working in vehicle body engineering and validation run more than 450 individual tests across the vehicle body, including atmospheric chamber tests that stress the vehicle body through huge temperature and humidity variations, encompassing a swing in ambient temperature from -40°C to +50°C in 90 minutes.

Horiba launches 100W PEM benchtop fuel cell test station

Horiba, an analytical and measurement technology company, has launched its next-gen test stations for PEM fuel cells. The C05-LT 100W PEM benchtop fuel cell test station aims to give customers access to single-cell testing technology at a low cost and in an accessible size, without compromising on accuracy or other benefits.

The C05-LT is designed to assist in 100W PEM fuel cell testing and support a wide range of single-cell membrane electrode assembly (MEA)/catalyst research applications.

TrustInSoft updates TrustInSoft Analyzer

TrustInSoft, a provider of mathematically proven software verification solutions, has unveiled the April 2025 release of its TrustInSoft Analyzer (TISA), which features a redesigned TISA project manager GUI and new REST API for software development tool integration.

New capabilities of the updated TISA Project Manager GUI include guided workflows, customizable campaign parameters directly in the interface, flexible analysis drivers, visual inspection of both individual and aggregated results and built-in code coverage reporting.

The REST API enables teams to automate retrieval of analysis results and integrate the TrustInSoft Analyzer with IDEs.
